Please Remember it is Junior Sport:)

Hello Tigers,

as we have started the business end of the season with finals I think it is timely to remind everyone that no sheep stations will change hands following the end of any games including the Grand Finals!

I have decided to talk to everyone following a number of incidents on the weekend across the competition involving members of our club; ranging from players, team officials and parents or spectators.

While I won’t talk about specific incidents, you should remember the following:

1. Foul language and striking from players is reportable by umpires.

2. Foul language, abusive or derogatory comments from our team officials and parents or spectators towards umpires, ground managers, opposition players or team officials could result in free kicks against our teams and is potentially reportable. It doesn’t matter if you are saying it to yourself. If it is heard it is wrong!

3. Arguing amongst ourselves makes the team and club look bad.

4. There is no right or wrong side once both sides of an argument or conflict have retaliated.

5. Parents and spectators please remember that your team officials, committee members and ground managers are volunteers and I implore you not to make their jobs harder than they already are.

If you have any questions for me then feel free to call me to arrange a chat in person at the club.
